What´s So Strange About Me? off Every Day Is Like A New Beginning by Eight Dayz was featured as the opening scene music in the classic Santa Cruz video Wheels Of Fire back in 1987. Fun facts are that Eight Dayz had German Santa Cruz prorider Claus Grabke singing the vocals and that this album first came out in 1989 on German New Wind Records which only had 3 releases, Every Day Is Like A New Beginning being their last. Those were the Dayz.

Word from our sponsor
Nerd Network has been notified that certain content in our blog, according to the terms of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), infringes upon the copyrights of others.
We have thus taken a time trip back to 1986 and the EBM wave: Just this week we received a brand new 4-track promo ep from the God-blessed West-German Modell Records. In our opinion Road Movie (B2) is the most suitable für Disko Tanz.

Name and number

They appeared out of nowhere, as if they were transported from a parallel universe wherein blue-eyed soul was seen as rock & roll's salvation in the late 80s. Likeminded groups like Johnny Hates Jazz, Waterfront, Living in a Box, and Curiosity
Killed the Cat all debuted and disappeared at the same time.
Of the four Curiosity Killed the Cat leaned more towards the teen girl population that hung Smash Hits posters on their bedroom walls. The band's lightweight funk and photogenic looks rewarded them with mainstream acceptance in their native England but America didn't budge.

Italo disco stars pt.1
German Fancy (born Manfred Alois Perilano, July 7, 1946) was an instant hit when the single "Slice me nice" shot on top of the charts in 1984.
"He could not have hoped for a better beginning to a long and colourful career of international success."
Fancy has also recorded many hits for other artists using a variety of other names. Mostly frequently in the name of Tess or Ric Tess he has written music for Grant Miller, Linda Jo Rizzo, Marc Buchner, the Hurricanes, Mozzart, Timerider amongst many others. The famous producer and singer Bobby Orlando produced Fancy's songs. Bobby Orlando also produced songs for Pet Shop Boys, Divine (actor), Grant Miller, Claudja Barry, and many others.

I Salute you. Back from another weekend, alive! Totally awesome! I dedicate this post to Nasty Suicide, nowadays known as Jan Stenfors, Finland's own OG rock n roll dude, dude.
